Birthday Girl | Plymouth Area Photographer

Last weekend my kiddo’s and I braved the CRAZY snow storm we got hit with to venture up to South Bend for little Gracie’s first birthday party! This was the 4th time I have taken pictures for this family and I am beginning to feel like I fit right in with them;) They are such a nice family, and make me feel so at home every time I take their photo’s. Little Gracie’s birthday theme was “Winter Onederland”. It was an AWESOME party and mom went out of her way to make every single detail perfect! The original plan was to have ice skating outside, but we got hit with soooo much snow that was not possible. We got there early while they were still setting up and mom was freaking thinking no one would be able to make it through the snow.  While waiting I helped blow up balloons and my kids filled up on sugar:)

The gorgeous fam:This was a polish tradition I had never heard of for first birthdays. You place a rosery, a shot glass, a piece of bread, and a quarter on the table and whichever items the child grabs is supposed to tell something about their future. This little gal grabbed the quarter;) That a girl:) Mom was so proud of the sign she made! I would have been too:) The awesome cake! The invite:

M family, as always, I enjoyed my time with you and your family and it was great meeting the rest of the bunch! You guys are very special to me and I am so excited to see what the future holds for us!!!

My 2nd session of the year was also 6 day old baby E. She was born literally an hour and a half before midnight on New Year’s Eve!  This session went absolutely perfect! I wish every newborn session would be like this one was! Little E slept almost the entire time I was there and that made it super easy to get some really great pictures of this little angel. When I first walked in their amazing house on a huge property with 8 horses in the snowy pasture, I glanced over and saw a brand new saddle on a stand right by the front door.  Of course the thought went right through my head to put the baby on the saddle, but I didn’t bring it up, because you really never know how brave a newborn parent is going to be:) Well, it didn’t take long before Mom brought up that she wanted some pictures taken with the baby on the saddle, and I was SO excited! It worked out great and I think they are going to LOVE these pictures, especially dad!

This was one of the smiliest newborns I have ever seen! She was constantly giving us little smirks! We really wanted to incorporate the cowboy hat in someway, and we couldn’t really squeeze her into it, so I came up with this:And the shot that made the session worth it! I love this!!!

Thank you E family for allowing me into your beautiful home to photograph you even more beautiful newborn baby girl! And thank you mom C for being so down to earth and making me feel comfortable during our session! I am so glad to have met you guys!

A New Year, A New Baby Girl | Plymouth Area Newborn Photographer

I started 2011 off just right! With 2 newborns within 2 days of each other! Both had the same name, and both were 6 days old at the time of their session! How exciting! The first baby E was born the day before New Year’s Eve and has an older almost 2 year old brother H, who was also hamming it up for my camera! This was not an easy session by any means, but in the end we did get some great shots of this gorgeous newborn girl!

The proud big brother H:It took ALOT of work to get this baby to sleep! And by work, I mean almost 5 hours:)

Thanks again D family for giving me the chance to capture these special newborn moments for you! And thank you for being my first session of the New Year! I wish you a blessed 2011!

12 Days Old | Plymouth Area Newborn Photographer

And here it is. My last official session of 2010. What an AWESOME year it has been and I owe it all to each and every one of my wonderful clients who have given me the chance to photograph you and your familes!

I photographed this adorable 12 day old baby girl the other day, and boy did I get lucky with this one! At first I was a little worried, it took some work to get her alseep, but once she was out, she was OUT! We were able to move her all over the place and she slept right through it! In the end we even got some awake shots, which I generally don’t prefer. She had the prettiest eyes though, I couldn’t pass it up!

Merry Christmas to all of you and thank you once again for one great year!!!!!!!!

This little doll baby’s mom and dad were in my class in school. I sure do love these JG grads, if you can’t tell:) Mr. A is 5 months old and has the biggest most beautiful blue eye’s I have seen in a long time! Suprisingly this little cutie actually fell asleep for a good portion of our session, which in turn gave me a great opportunity to take an awesome shot of him sleeping in front of the fireplace. It ended up being my favorite picture of the entire session, and probably one of my favorites from the year!
