Last weekend my kiddo’s and I braved the CRAZY snow storm we got hit with to venture up to South Bend for little Gracie’s first birthday party! This was the 4th time I have taken pictures for this family and I am beginning to feel like I fit right in with them;) They are such a nice family, and make me feel so at home every time I take their photo’s. Little Gracie’s birthday theme was “Winter Onederland”. It was an AWESOME party and mom went out of her way to make every single detail perfect! The original plan was to have ice skating outside, but we got hit with soooo much snow that was not possible. We got there early while they were still setting up and mom was freaking thinking no one would be able to make it through the snow. While waiting I helped blow up balloons and my kids filled up on sugar:)

This was a polish tradition I had never heard of for first birthdays. You place a rosery, a shot glass, a piece of bread, and a quarter on the table and whichever items the child grabs is supposed to tell something about their future. This little gal grabbed the quarter;) That a girl:)
