My 2nd session of the year was also 6 day old baby E. She was born literally an hour and a half before midnight on New Year’s Eve! This session went absolutely perfect! I wish every newborn session would be like this one was! Little E slept almost the entire time I was there and that made it super easy to get some really great pictures of this little angel. When I first walked in their amazing house on a huge property with 8 horses in the snowy pasture, I glanced over and saw a brand new saddle on a stand right by the front door. Of course the thought went right through my head to put the baby on the saddle, but I didn’t bring it up, because you really never know how brave a newborn parent is going to be:) Well, it didn’t take long before Mom brought up that she wanted some pictures taken with the baby on the saddle, and I was SO excited! It worked out great and I think they are going to LOVE these pictures, especially dad!
This was one of the smiliest newborns I have ever seen! She was constantly giving us little smirks!
We really wanted to incorporate the cowboy hat in someway, and we couldn’t really squeeze her into it, so I came up with this:
And the shot that made the session worth it! I love this!!!
