Hello hello!!! Just taking a little time out to give you an update on what has been going on in my life!
To those of you who follow me on Facebook, it’s probably not a surprise that I am taking a little time off to enjoy the arrival of this little guy:
On January 18th we welcomed our new little bundle of joy, Jenson Edward Hunter, into the world at 4:16pm. He weighed in at 7lbs 11oz and was a whopping 21 1/2 inches long!!! As you can guess, I am taking some time off of work to enjoy this handsome little man and I wanted to take some time to fill you in on some of the few changes coming to the business for the new year (a little late, I know)
I will be off work completely until the beginning of March (with the exception of one little newborn who decided to come early). Beginning March I will be doing only newborn sessions for the first month back. Just to ease back into things, and get moving again. The majority of those newborn sessions will be coming to my home for their session. I plan on picking up all other sessions again at the beginning of April and getting back into it full time by mid spring! Looking forward to it for sure!
A few things that are changing in the business department…I will no longer be working Sundays and will only be accepting 1 Saturday session per weekend. I started taking Sunday’s off towards the end of the year last year, and found that it really did me good to be able to use that day as a catch up/family day and having one more kid in the mix will definitely make me need that day a lot more nowPrices have changed and a few other things such as travel fee’s and retainer fee’s have also slightly increased. I will be enforcing the travel fee more adequately than I have in the past. Looking back at last year, I spend a good majority of time in my darn car just getting to and from where I needed to be. The biggest changes will be in newborn sessions. There will be an additional fee if you wish for me to come to your home for the session, if you are willing to come to my home it will save you some money. If your newborn is over 14 days old there will also be an additional fee, as it is much more difficult to do the session at that age. I have said it over and over again, but I will not be taking any newborns if I do not have at least 1 months notice of their due date. I ran into quite a few circumstances last year where people contacted me AFTER the baby was born and thought I’d be able to squeeze them in. Its not that easy, I need notice to make sure I leave space to get your session in at the time I need to.
