Last weekend I drug my dear friend “T” with me to Merrillville to assist me in taking photographs for our first Lohri experience. For those of you who don’t know what a Lohri is, it is an agricultrual winter festival celebrated throughout India. It signifies the end of intense winter in India. In a way it is similar to our New Year celebrations. This was a very unique experience and I am very glad I had the opportunity to be a part of it! Unfortunately (for now) these are the only photographs I am able to post until I get permission from the families involved. I know many of you who knew I was doing this were dying to see some real photographs (you know, like the kind with people in them:), and I will be sure to get some posted as soon as I get the ok!
